Welcome to our review of the SNIPER Compact 4×32 Rifle Scope. This is an inexpensive little scope, with a rangefinder reticle. Itís difficult to believe such an inexpensive scope could rival the big names like Nikon, so letís take a look at what you get for the money.First of all, letís get a general overview of the scope. This is a 4X scope with a 32mm objective, and the scope is sturdily constructed. The windage and elevation knobs donít require a special tool to adjust, and the knobs provide 1″ of adjustment per click at 100 yards. The scope comes with mounting rings, but the rings make the scope ride rather low on the rail. This might pose a problem for some bolt-action rifles, and it caused me to have to bend my neck more than I liked to see through the scope on a flat-top receiver. I resolved this issue using an offset mount.

Unboxing the Scope

So many inexpensive scopes these days are shipped in those awful plastic packages that require you to carefully cut around the scope in order to get it out of the packaging. SNIPER, though, has taken the time to ship these scopes in a nice cardboard box, very much like the more expensive scopes come in, which makes unboxing the scope a pleasure. It also means you have the box for storage of your scope when itís not mounted on your rifle, which is an added bonus.

How Much Magnification Do I Get From the SNIPER?

This scope provides 4X magnification, and the parallax is set to 100 yards. I would have liked to see a zoom feature on this scope, but it just isnít there. Youíve got your 4X magnification, and thereís no way to adjust that downwards.

How is the Optics Quality on the SNIPER Rifle Scope?

The SNIPER Compact 4X32 riflescope utilizes sapphire lenses, and the coating is excellent on this scope. I noticed no problems with fogging, and dust seemed to just bounce right off of the lenses. The scope has a 1î tube diameter, with a 32mm objective diameter and 3î of eye relief. For shooting up to 100 yards, this scope is an excellent choice as far as the magnification and optics quality are concerned. There is one minor detail that SNIPER should work on, however. The reticle lines are very thick, perhaps as much as 10 MOA thick. This means that the reticle will cover up about 10″ of your target from a hundred yards, so precision shooting at that range wonít be possible. What does this mean, though? It means that hitting the bullís eye on a small target from 100 yards will be difficult, and the scope will not provide you with the accuracy you would need for hunting small game, like rabbits or squirrels. It’s perfectly suitable for deer and elk hunting, though, as long as you remember that your crosshairs are covering approximately 10″ of the animal from 100 yards.

Whatís the Light Gathering Capability Like on the Scope?

Images through the scope were crisp and clear in almost all lighting conditions. The scope does not have illuminated reticles, though, so you wonít be shooting this during extremely low light conditions. I found this scope is happiest during mid-morning to mid-afternoon hours, but it worked pretty well in the time just after dawn and just before dusk.

How Wide is the Field of View?

From 100 yards, the field of view on this scope is a cool 28 feet. Now, this isnít the widest field of view Iíve seen on a riflescope, but itís far from the narrowest, too. I found it to be quite adequate for target shooting and for deer hunting with my rifle. I wouldnít recommend such a narrow field of view for shooting something on the run, of course, but for relatively stationary targets itís perfectly suited to the job.The biggest problem with this scope, as I noted previously, is the size of the crosshairs. Covering up 10″ worth of the target at 100 yards leaves a pretty sizable margin for error, so you need to be a pretty skilled shooter to hit smaller targets from that range. The scope worked perfectly for deer hunting, but I wouldnít want to rely on it for rabbit or pheasant hunting.

How Easy is the Scope to Mount?

The included rings fit any Weaver or Picatinny rail, so the scope is very easy to mount. Unfortunately, as I noted previously, the rings cause the scope to ride pretty low on the rail. You might want to get different rings, or an offset mount, for maximum comfort and clearance of the action of your rifle.

How Easy is the SNIPER 4×32 to Sight In?

Where this scope really shines is in sighting in and holding zero. The windage and elevation adjustment knobs are of a tool-less design, so you donít need anything special to adjust the scope in the field. The knobs feature metal tabs to make it easier to rotate, and the scope sights in very quickly and easily.Once sighted in, I put close to 500 rounds through my AR-15 using this scope. The scope held zero throughout all of that shooting, and is still zeroed in today after another 15,000 rounds. For such an inexpensive riflescope, it stands up to a beating remarkably well and keeps providing an accurate shot each and every time.

SNIPER Compact Rifle Scope Review – 4×32 Summary

Thanks for reading my review of the SNIPER 4x32 compact riflescope. No scope is without its flaws, but for the money youíll spend on this scope, the flaws are negligible at best. The scope provides excellent magnification (but regrettably has no zoom capability), and is easy to sight in. It holds zero a remarkably long time, and provides hours upon hours of accurate shooting. The two major issues with the scope, if you can call them major, are the large reticles and the fact that the scope rides fairly low on the rail with the included rings. If youíre looking for an inexpensive scope that will be good for target shooting or medium- to large-game hunting, this is an excellent choice.
